In 2020, 58 percent of respondents 65 years of age and older from the United Kingdom stated that they never read ingredient lists on packed food to check for allergens, compared to 46 percent of respondents that were between 18 and 24 years old. Approximately 12 percent of those 25 to 34 years of age responded that they always check for these ingredients.
