In 2022, construction projects accounted for most of the industry's gross domestic product (GDP) in Brazil. Meanwhile, the construction materials industry and the sale of materials represented together over 40 percent of construction's overall GDP. That year, the construction sector contributed around 6.2 percent to Brazil's GDP.
