Projected effect of COVID-19 on media production spending in Canada 2020
An assessment of the risk to screen based media production spending in Canada estimated that in May 2020 773 million Canadian dollars of TV production spending would be affected. The impact of COVID-19 on the industry (including both Canadian content and foreign locations and services) was projected to peak in May, with the estimate for June at 677 million Canadian dollars worth of screen-based production spending affected.
