Ulsan factory of Hyundai had the highest production capacity among car factories located in South Korea, with 1.4 million units. It was followed by Hwaseong factory of Kia with 563 thousand units. There were mainly three regional car clusters in South Korea; the West Coast cluster including Seoul and Gyeonggi area, Southeast cluster centered on Ulsan, and the Honam cluster including Gwangju and Gunsan.
