Monthly international tourist arrivals in non-hotel accommodations in Italy 2019-2020
The coronavirus pandemic significantly impacted the number of international tourist arrivals in non-hotel accommodations in Italy. At the beginning of March 2020, the Italian government imposed a national lockdown to slow down the coronavirus outbreak in the country. In April 2020, non-hotel facilities in Italy registered only six thousand inbound arrivals. In April 2019, they were over 1.3 million. In July 2020, this scenario improved as the inbound arrivals rose to roughly one million. However, non-hotel accommodation recorded 3.1 million international arrivals in July 2019.
