As of June 2020, 37 percent of Hungarians did not plan to go on vacation at all. Due to the new regulations introduced by the government, imposing mandatory quarantine on Hungarian citizens returning from countries with a higher infection rate, over one-third of respondents decided to travel only domestically in the summer of 2020.

* As of June 2020, Hungary listed foreign countries in three different categories based on the severity of the infection rate in the given country. Each country was assigned red, yellow or green status. These colors indicate whether an entry ban or obligatory quarantine is imposed upon entering Hungary from the country. Regulations affect both foreigners and Hungarians.
