Less than one third of Brazilian consumers were considered sustainability-conscious in 2019, according to a survey. The majority of consumers in Brazil (57.6 percent) were considered in transition, while a little over 13 percent fell into the category little or non-conscious. The study takes into account the frequency of behaviors and attitudes considered adequate from an environmental, economic, and social sustainability point of view.
A year earlier, nearly seven out of ten Brazilian participants in a survey reported to have heard about the term sustainability.
