In 2022, around 1.37 million employees were working in the IT sector of Beijing municipality in China, while only 19 thousand people worked in agriculture. Besides information technology, scientific research and technical services was another sector providing many jobs in Beijing, whereas the manufacturing industry was not of great importance to the job market in the city.
