From 1997 to 2018, the prevalence of mammography screening increased in Belgium. In 2018, roughly one out of three women, aged 15 years and older, had a screening for breast cancer in Belgium. Since 1997, mammogram screenings increased by 10 percent in Belgium. Nonetheless, the share of women who were screened for breast cancer decreased in 2018.

The share of Belgian women who had a mammography has been calculated by using a statistical regression based on the number of respondents, age, gender, and the Belgian population in 2018.
