Prevalence of blood sugar monitoring in the Belgian population, by region 2018
In the Belgian region of Wallonia, roughly 73 percent of the population, aged 15 years and older, had their blood sugar levels monitored during the last three years in 2018. The blood sugar level control in Wallonia was therefore than the Belgian average of roughly 70 percent. On the other hand, Flanders had the lowest prevalence of blood sugar controlling in the country. Measuring blood sugar levels allows the prevention and detection of cardiovascular risks and diabetes.
