In the first three months of 2020 - at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak in Mexico, the category that experienced the greatest growth in Google searches was health, with a 67 percent increase against the same period the previous year. Searches in the food category came in second, with a 56 percent growth compared to the first quarter of 2019. Furthermore, visits to online food delivery services rose in the first weeks of March 2020, precisely when cases started to emerge across the North American country.
