Economic impact of the coronavirus outbreak on the music sector in France 2013-2020
Many industries have had to revise their revenue forecasts downwards as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. The music industry, which has known a steady increase over the past years, had projected to reach 10.4 billion euros by the end of 2020 before the pandemic. The economic impact of the coronavirus has led to a significant drop in this turnover, which is expected to amount to 5.9 billion euros, a decrease of 43 percent compared to what was initially expected.
