The digital literacy index of Russian school teachers reached 87 percent in 2018. Most school teachers in the country demonstrated a high level of information and computer literacy, recorded at 93 and 92 percent, respectively.

Communication literacy is the understanding of the difference between digital communications and live communication. The main skill is the ability to use modern tools of communication (social networks, messengers).
Media literacy is the understanding of the diversity of information sources, forms, and channels of its dissemination. The main skill is the ability to search for news in different sources, check for their comprehensiveness and accuracy.
Attitude towards technological innovations is the understanding of technological trends. The main skill is the readiness to work with new technologies (apps, gadgets).
