According to a consumer survey released by Alfred Kärcher in 2019, the majority of respondents in Japan reported to be the only person in charge of keeping their household clean. While that was true for the overall majority of respondents as well as female respondents, 58 percent of Japanese men said they mainly share household chores with at least one other person.
