Number of SVoD subscribers worldwide 2025, by vendor

The global SVoD market will continue to grow and will have over 1.1 billion subscribers worldwide by the year 2025, 526 million of which will be via direct fixed broadband subscription packages. However, such connections are not available in many developing or emerging markets, giving rise to increases in SVoD subscriptions coming from smartphones. Many developing and emerging markets are already mobile-focused or mobile-first markets, and predictions suggest that 291 million of the world's SVoD subscribers will access platforms via mobile apps in 2025. Additionally, 170 million will come from mobile operators, meaning that 40 percent of the total global number of SvoD subscriptions will come from smartphones.
