From 2013 to 2018, the value of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals managed by the European and North American carriers with desire for increased scale and diversification were approximately 100 billion U.S. dollars. The value of M&A deals conducted by Asian carriers seeking growth in Europe and North America amounted to only 20 billion U.S. dollars during that period of time.
