According to a survey conducted in 2019, the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna recorded the highest share of individuals purchasing online video games or video game updates. Data showed that 9.1 percent of respondents from this region bought these products on the internet. On the other hand, the regions of Molise, Aosta Valley, and Friuli-Venezia Giulia registered the lowest shares as of 2019.
