During a 2019 survey, it was found that 49 percent of responding pay TV subscribers from Peru had subscribed to pay TV to be able to access a larger variety of programming. On the other hand, 45 percent of respondents stated that they had subscribed to pay TV to improve the reception of free TV. In 2019, 21.4 percent of Peruvian households received pay TV.
