Number of domestic tourists in Shanghai, China 2013-2023

In 2023, around 326 million tourists from mainland China visited Shanghai. Of these, 220 million were people actually living in Shanghai municipality and pursuing touristic activities, and 106 million were tourists coming from all over China. Every visitor spent on average 1,127 yuan in Shanghai.
