Number of domestic tourists in Shanghai, China 2012-2022
In 2022, around 188 million tourists from mainland China visited Shanghai. Of these, 112.57 million were people actually living in Shanghai municipality and pursuing touristic activities, and 75.69 million were tourists coming from all over China. Every visitor spent on average 1,106 yuan in Shanghai.
