Body parts of jaguar, also known as Panthera onca and native to the American continent, were the most trafficked wild cat parts in Central and South America from 2012 to 2018, according to seizure reports. During that period, over two thousand body parts of that type of animal were seized in the region, of which nearly 95 percent were teeth. Over 100 parts of ocelots and pumas combined were also seized in the period.
