In 2021, one out of three online shoppers in Brazil had purchased used products in the previous 12 months, according to a survey. The study found that 77 percent of respondents were financially motivated, mentioning savings in transaction costs as their main motivation. A concern about sustainable and conscious consumption was the main reason for buying used products for 33 percent of people surveyed.
