Around two out of ten respondents in Brazil reported to always check if the production of an item was eco-friendly prior to purchase, according to a survey carried out in 2019. Another 19 percent of Brazilians surveyed said that they were sometimes concerned with the environmental aspects of the production of an item before deciding. That same year, the majority of respondents in the South American country (58 percent) were rarely or never concerned with the topic when going shopping.
