Reasons for using precision farming techniques on farm holdings in England in 2019

In October of 2019, when asked why they use precision farming techniques approximately 78 percent of responding farm holdings in England that used such techniques stated that they did so to increase the productivity or performance of their holding. Half of the questioned holdings stated that they did so to improve animal welfare or animal health.
