Brazil: popularity of sustainable shopping behaviors among consumers 2019

Buying efficient electrical appliances was a popular sustainable behavior among consumers in Brazil, according to a survey carried out in 2019. That year, 74 percent of Brazilian respondents claimed that they buy that kind of products most of the time, while another 19 percent of respondents reported to sometimes give preference to efficient household appliances. Buying local food was also a spread sustainable behavior among Brazilians surveyed, with 90 percent of respondents buying it at least sometimes. Meanwhile, reusable shopping bags were in the regular routine of 32 percent of Brazilians surveyed, while another 29 percent used their own shopping bags sometimes.
