Social media ranking with the most xenophobic PHAROS reports in France 2018-2021
Social media, for which the main objective is the exchange and sharing of content, are the primary carriers of hate messages. In 2020, the number of xenophobic and discriminating posts was over 23 thousand, decreasing to around 15 thousand in 2021. The majority of reports from France came from the content presented on Twitter, with over five thousand hate messages reported in 2021. That number was the highest reported in the previous year, over 10 thousand. Facebook's hateful content also decreased in the year 2021, going from 2887 reports to 1100.
