As of 2019, 15.5 percent of port management bodies (PMB) worldwide produced sustainability reports that were certified and met international standards. Roughly 20 percent of ports developed separate reports which were not certified and did not meet international standards. One in four ports integrated their sustainability report into their annual report, while another 27 percent of ports did not report on sustainability at all.
