In 2020, more than half of French consumers (51 percent) thought that food manufacturers should pay farmers better. The environment seemed to be another priority to improve corporate responsibility for the French: 39 percent of them said agribusiness companies should reduce their plastic and trash production and 35 percent insisted on the fact that they should reduce their environmental impact.
