In 2019, price competitiveness was the pillar with the highest score in the Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index (TTCI) for Latin America and the Caribbean, with a score of 5.4. Health and hygiene was the second best rated pillar for the region, with 5.1 index points. On the other hand, cultural resources and business travel received the lowest score for the regional average, with 2.2 points. That same year, Mexico was the country with the highest general TTCI score in Latin America and the Caribbean.
