Connect Four is a widely-known board game in which the ultimate goal is beat the opponent by being the first to first to form a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line of four of one's own disc. As with all games, players typically need elements of both skill and luck. However, some games are known for needing more skill than others. In a 2020 survey conducted by YouGov, 49 percent of respondents in the United States stated that Connect Four was a game of skill rather than luck. In contrast, 21 percent of respondents believed that Connect Four was a game of luck.
