Real estate enterprise value in the UK 2020, by asset class

Enterprise value measures the market capitalization of a company, plus debt and cash on the balance sheet, and shows the total value of a public company. As of June 2020, listed office real estate companies had an enterprise value of 136.6 billion euros, while multifamily housing companies' enterprise value stood at 96.39 billion euros. The third leading sector was retail at approximately 86 billion euros. Even if this was the case, the gap between multifamily housing and retail in terms of market capitalization was much wider. Considering the damage the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis has caused to the sector, this was to be expected.
