According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight, 35 percent of female respondents and 32 percent of male respondents stated they purchased online at least several times a month during the COVID-19 pandemic in Malaysia as of May 2020. In contrast, only four percent of female respondents stated they purchased every day online. The same survey shows that Malaysians made more online purchases during the pandemic.
