According to a national media survey from 2019, 93 percent of Finnish people read print or online newspapers on a weekly basis. Almost 80 percent of the respondents said that they read newspapers online weekly, while print newspapers fell behind in popularity.

Figures are based on a national media survey (KMT 2019), which measures the number of readers of 55 newspapers, 35 free newspapers, 15 magazine packages, and 11 newspaper supplements.
The results have been weighted to represent the entire population.
