In a survey conducted on April 2020 regarding the political choices of Singaporeans for the general elections in 2020, 68 percent of Singaporeans believed that equal opportunities were now available for men and women. This belief was similar across party affiliations in 2020 with 71 percent among People's Action party (PAP) voters and 61 percent among opposition voters.
Singapore had scheduled its 13th general elections on July 10, with campaigning beginning on July 1. Due to COVID-19, special livestreaming facilities will be set up during the campaign period. Candidates will be able to hold e-rallies at these facilities.
