Tobacco sowing area in Poland 1976-2019
The volume of tobacco sown in Poland decreased significantly over the observed period. In 2019, the cultivated area was more than 12.9 thousand hectares, down by more than 21 percent from the previous year. By comparison, in 1976, 60 thousand hectares of tobacco were sown in Poland. The highest percentage of sowing was recorded in Lubelskie Province (9.4 thousand hectares) in 2019.
