According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight, 65 percent of the female respondents stated they purchased more online during the COVID-19 pandemic in Malaysia as of May 2020. In contrast, only seven percent of the male respondents said there was no impact on their online purchases. The same survey also shows that Malaysians made online purchases several times a month during the pandemic.
