More than seven out of ten (71.2 percent of) cross-border e-commerce users surveyed in Brazil stated that they had used credit cards to pay for purchases made on foreign websites in 2019. Around 18.7 percent said they had used boleto bancário, a barcoded ticket that can be paid on automated teller machines (ATMs), in bank agencies, post offices, lottery agencies, and through internet banking in Brazil. Most cross-border e-commerce users in the South American country shopped on foreign websites two to three times throughout 2019.
