The number of events, open air concerts and live performances in Romania has been increasing over the last years. As a result, nearly 26.5 thousand shows and concerts took place in Romania in 2019, an increase of approximately three thousand more performances than in 2017. In 2020, there was a significant drop in the number of shows because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, however, by 2022 the number increased to 21,474.
