In May 2020, 34 percent of Ukrainians stated in a survey that they regretted the collapse of the Soviet Union, compared to 65 percent recorded in Russia. The share of those regretting that event in Ukraine varied from over 14 percent among 18-29-year-olds to approximately 50 percent among respondents aged 70 years and older.
