Opinion on relocating American troops from Germany to Poland 2020
Nearly 60 percent of Poles support increasing the US military presence in Poland. However, more than 59 percent of respondents stated that the possible presence of American troops in Poland should be financed by both Poland and the United States.
Following an order from President Trump, 9,500 American soldiers are to leave Germany by September 2020. It is speculated that American troops will be transferred to Poland as part of the NATO alliance. Although there is no precise information on this subject yet, on 24 July in Washington, there will be a bilateral meeting between the President of Poland Andrzej Duda and the President of the United States Donald Trump, at which defense issues will be discussed.
