Share of Italians interested in women's soccer in 2020, by age group
According to a survey from 2020, most Italians interested in women's soccer were occasional fans. About 29 percent of respondents aged 55 years and older claimed to watch matches or read news about it on a random basis, while 27 percent of interviewees aged between 35 and 44 years did the same. On the contrary, roughly seven in ten Italians aged between 18 and 34 years were not interested in women's football. However, 12 percent of people within this age group would like to be more interested in women's football in the future.
