Chile: most complained about online travel agencies 2020

Between March and May 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Despegar alone concentrated 69.7 percent of all complaints against online travel agencies registered in Chile. Viajes Falabella, owned by Despegar, accounted for 12.5 percent of the complaints. In 2019, the revenue generated by Despegar.com amounted to nearly 525 million U.S. dollars.
