Distribution of household loans China 2018, by type
In 2018, almost 54 percent of all Chinese household loans were medium- and long-term personal housing loans and 18 percent were classified as short term consumer loans. Business loans accounted for 21 percent of household debt in China. This chart illustrated the significance of the housing market for the Chinese economy.
