The Kia Sportage was the vehicle model most prone to violent theft in Mexico, as almost 88 percent of the reported thefts in 2019 involved the use of violence. The Mazda CX5 ranked second, as nearly 86 percent of the thefts of this car model were carried out violently. By number of units, the Nissan NP300 was the most stolen vehicle model in Mexico in that same year.
