Throughout 2020, 72 percent of social media interactions in Peru were conducted on Facebook. This was followed, though by far, by Instagram, which was responsible for 21.5 percent of the interactions. Between 2019 and 2020, the number of Facebook users in the Andean country is estimated to have grown by over one million users.
