Global number of jobs created under an environmentally friendly recovery plan 2020
Due to the global coronavirus pandemic and resulting lockdown measures, unemployment rates have increased enormously. Many experts have called for governments to focus recovery packages on sustainability as they would ensure adherence to climate change targets and potentially create more employment opportunities. A sustainable plan could create 1.9 million jobs in the buildings efficiency sector alone.
