Mississippi: monthly sports betting tax revenue 2018-2024
Land-based sports betting was legalized in the U.S. state of Mississippi on March 13, 2017 (official regulations approved June 21, 2018), when Governor Phil Bryant signed the Fantasy Contests Act, which included a provision to decriminalize sports betting. This means it is now possible to play college sports betting, MLB sports betting, and NBA sports betting in the state. In June 2024, Mississippi generated approximately 0.23 million U.S. dollars of tax revenue from sports betting, down from the previous month's total of approximately 0.25 million U.S. dollars.
