As with most industries in the world, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the closures and economic impacts associated has had a notable impact on mining. Anglo American has revised their expected 2020 production volume for diamonds to 21.2 percent less than originally planned, while the company's expected palladium production has been revised to be 21.4 percent less in that year.
