Number of Blue Flag beaches in France 2022, by region
Labels, such as the Blue Flag label in France, can be a guarantee of quality and a way to ensure better visibility on the tourism market. The French Region of Occitania boasted 108 beaches awarded with the Blue Flag label in 2022. The other Mediterranean region, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, had 86awarded beaches that year. On the other hand, the most northern coastal region, Hauts-de-France, counted only four such beaches.
