During a survey conducted in Brazil in May 2020, half of respondents stated that they were very concerned about fake news and disinformation on internet and social media. Around 22 percent of the interviewees said they were not concerned about the topic. Moreover, 90 percent of respondents were in favor of creating a law to oblige social media companies to protect users from fake news.
