The counterfeit market has become a global phenomenon targeting a large range of industries including clothes and accessories, cosmetics, tobacco, and even pharmaceuticals. In France, a minority of the population (37 percent) admitted in 2018 to having already voluntarily bought at least one counterfeit product in their lives. However, among teenagers, this practice seems to be more widely spread, with 43 percent of people between 15 and 18 years old who have purchased counterfeit.
